Our predecessor, Maruyama Shokai, was founded in
Takadamachi, Niigata prefecture. It started the manufacture
and sales of fire extinguishers which were still rare in
Japan.
The first power sprayers made by Maruyama. This technology
was developed for use in a variety of products that supported
farm work.
Maruyama Shokai was reorganized and reborn as Maruyama Manufacturing. It was from this time that we started
conducting business as we do today.
Hope reduced the weight of power sprayers to 20-30 kg. At the
time the world's lightest, high-speed power sprayer was born.
Maruyama developed the world's first backpack
power sprayer, Cherry.
Seibu Maruyama established.
With the demand for low-cost, lightweight and compact
engines increasing, Maruyama developed an original,
high quality, low-cost engine.
The Chiba Plant has been implementing measures to
reduce environmental impact. As a result, the plant passed
an audit conducted by the Japan Quality Assurance
Organization (JQA) and acquired ISO 14001 certification.
Maruyama (Shanghai) Trading established.
ASIAN Maruyama (Thailand) established.
